Blogmas day twenty: bakerdays letterbox cake review

Hello cherubs,
Happy Thursday, how are you today? I thought it would be my last day at work until Boxing day today, but unfortunately I have been roped into working tomorrow too.
Thankfully to cheer myself up, I tucked into my delicious bakerdays letterbox cake. I now only have two slices left, but I’ll tell you what, it was definitely worth giving into temptation.

My letterbox cake arrived in a simple brown box, with the bakerdays logo printed on. It wasn’t until I opened the box that I saw the cutest tin. On top of the tin says “just for you” which I think is super cute. It has eight tiny holes around the lid to help keep the cake fresh.
I had picked the snowflake bauble design with my name for personalisation. It was beautifully printed! The icing isn’t too thick either which is a great bonus.

I wanted to dive right in, so I cut it up and tried a slice before I gave it out to you my friends and family (those of them who were lucky enough to be near me at the time). As soon as I cut into the cake I could already tell that it was freshly baked and that the sponge was still soft and moist! One thing I absolutely hate is when I buy a cake online and it arrives on a stale side of the scale. I was definitely pleased to receive a cake that was still fresh!

There was a small mixed up with my order but I have spoken to the company and I do not hold them at fault at all, if anything they have gone above and beyond to meet my needs and expectations. I had originally asked for the traditional sponge cake, but I have received the delicious lemon drizzle cake instead. on the day that I ordered they were having technical difficulties which I was made aware of and they were doing that absolute best to fix the issue, I spoke to someone when they cake arrived just to let them know that I have received a lemon drizzle cake instead of a traditional sponge and they were very apologetic and explain the situation to me, I’m not angry about it I genuinely wasn’t that fussed about what cake I was receiving, all that mattered to me was that I received a cake with the design that I asked for and I did.
I have never had an issue with bakerdays themselves, the team are super polite and very helpful and they definitely do you keep in contact throughout the process of them making your cake which I find is a very nice touch to the service that they provide.
I will definitely be using bakerdays again for my birthday which is in February where I will be ordering more than just a letterbox cake. For those of you who are interested I will leave a link to their website here, I just want to clarify that this is not an affiliate link I want to add in because it would be useful for those of you who would like to check out the brand.
The letterbox cake retails for £14.99, you can personalize the cakes by adding your own photographs and your own words/names.
I would 100% use these again I believe that they are a very respectable brand and you definitely do get what you are paying for the team in general are helpful and they answer your queries as best as they can. I can’t think of a better brand to use to purchase a cake.

I want to say a huge thank you to bakerdays for kindly gifting me this delicious cake, I’m not sure how much longer it will last! I have enjoyed working with you on this collaboration, it’s definitely a good way to end this blogging year!
For those of you who are interested in checking bakerdays out, do you check out their website and let me know if you decide to order anything for yourself.

Thank you so much for reading tonight post I really hope you have enjoyed, if you have been sure to let me know by leaving a like and comment your favourite cake below.
I will be back tomorrow with another post until then I am sending you lots of love and festive cheer,
A x
