Altruist Dermatologist sunscreen

Hello,

Happy Thursday lovelies, I hope you are well and having a good evening. Sorry for the late post, I had my hair dyed! I’ll be uploading a review next week!

Tonight I am reviewing a sunscreen that was kindly sent to me by Altruist who contacted me about the product.

As you know, last week we had a mini heat wave with temperatures reaching in their 20’s! Unfortunately I spent most of the sunny days inside, working or looking after my cousins. I did however, manage to enjoy a little bit of the sun.

As I said I received this last week, but I wasn’t the first to test it out. My brother works on a farm, so I decided to test it out on him first.

It’s pretty straightforward, you spray a fair amount onto your exposed skin, let it sink into your skin and reapply after 4 hours. We didn’t reapply it to him because he was at work, but we just wanted to test it out.

I tried it later on and I did follow the rules and reapplied because I was still in the sun. I am quite a pale person and I burn quickly, so I thought putting an SPF 50 suncreen on would reduce the chances of that happening. Within about half an hour of having the spray on, I could feel my skin starting to burn, I wasn’t in direct sunlight, I wasn’t out in the highest UV times either. So this didn’t do a very good job of protecting my skin.

I will be trying this again though, because I like to give things a second chance before I pass them on, maybe my skin was just having a bad day (I get really sensitive skin!)

I love the product design, it’s a simple grey spray can, very clear on the front explaining what it is. The back is my favourite! It has so much information and things that a normal sunscreen wouldn’t include. It tells you about the product, how to use it, the danger warning and the ingredients all in a clear format. It’s not too crowded and you get what you’re meant to know.

About the product

To reduce the incidence of skin cancer through the increased use of quality sunscreen together with better education and awareness.

Conceived by a UK skin cancer specialist and top European scientists to provide premium quality sunscreen at an affordable price. Altruist supports charitable causes.

  • High UVA/UVB protection
  • Fragrance free
  • Non-sticky
  • Water resistant

I definitely do recommend trying out this product, it’s definitely worth the try considering it’s had actual research put into it and it’s super affordable! A spray costs just £5! I’d rather pay that for something that has been tested and proved then £15 for a product that hasn’t been proven to have the same effects.

I want to say a huge thank you to Altruist for sending me the product, I look forward to using it again when the sun makes an appearance and I will be buying more products (the suncream) for my family and friends for a summer party I am hosting.

Thank you so much for reading, I know that this post is a lot later then I should be, all I can do is apologise for the inconvenience.

Please let me know if you have used this product, or if you have any further questions, I am happy to help. If you enjoyed my post, leave a like and comment below.

I’ll see you again tomorrow,

A x
