Review: T-Zone charcoal and bamboo nose pore strips

Review: T-Zone charcoal and bamboo nose pore strips

Happy Friday lovelies! It’s been another spring-like day today and I am loving the vibes. I have stayed in my comfy clothes today (workout leggings and a PJ top) and enjoyed the sun gazing into my window while I have sent some emails, typed some posts and having a sing-a-long.

I’m not sure if you remember, but a few weeks ago I received a lovely package from Brodie and Stone who sent me some lovely products to try. I reviewed a Colorsport 30 day mascara which you can read here if you’re interested. I thought I should review another product now seeing as I have almost used them up.

As you can see from the title, I am reviewing the T-Zone charcoal and bamboo nose pore strips. I was sent a box of 12 but you can also get a box of 6. You can purchase these at Superdrug from as little as £6.99! That works out at 58p per nose strip! You really can’t argue at that price. The 6 strip box costs £4.99.

Before I start my review, I would jut like to take this time to tell you the effects that charcoal and bamboo have on your skin.

Charcoal that has been pulverized and steamed giving it a wider surface area is able to absorb a higher volume of bacteria, toxins and micro-particles. – Birchbox

I’m going to be honest, when it came to my spots/blackheads I never really paid any attention to my nose. I have never had a spot on my nose so I didn’t think I had to worry. It turns out I should have looked after it a little better. I now use these nose strips as a key part of my night routine. I use these every three nights while in the meantime I use my other skin care products to clear away anything unwanted.

These nose strips are super simple to use and not too fiddly, you simply dampen your nose with a little bit of water (I like to use hot water because hot water is better for my skin), you then peel the strip off, stick the pure black side to your nose and leave it for 10 minutes. You may feel the strip get a little stiff against your nose. After the 10 minutes is up, you simply peel it off. If it is a little hard to pull off, you can wet it slightly and that should help you lift it off.

Product uses:

Wash your face with a T-Zone face wash and pat your face dry . Thoroughly wet your nose. Peel strip off the plastic backing and apply smooth side to your nose. Gently press down to ensure good contact with the skin and leave strip to dry for 5 – 10 minutes. As soon as strip begins to feel stiff it is ready to be removed: starting at the edges, slowly and carefully remove the strip. If the strip is painful to remove, wet the strip thoroughly and carefully peel it off.

Tips and advice

Open pores before applying the strip by steaming your face for 2-3 minutes or prepare the skin with a hot towel for 3-5 minutes.

My nose is disgusting, I always like to take a look at what has been pulled out (a little gross I know!) It pulls out quite a lot of crap and also helps reduce the amount of oil that sits on top of my nose. (I suffer from really bad oily skin). I feel that this has really improved my nose and it has un-clogged my pores. I don’t know why I neglected it in the first place.

Sometimes the strips leave a little bit of the mask behind, but this is totally normal, it doesn’t mean that the strip isn’t good! You simply use some water and a cotton pad and wipe it away. I have had to share my strips with my family because they love trying products that are sent to me. Overall I have had good feedback from them.

As I said, I use one every three days, it’s advised that you don’t do one every day, you should do it every other day or longer. These are a great addition and the packaging is super easy for you to pop in your bag for when you’re going away. I am definitely re-purchasing them.

I am loving their charcoal and bamboo collection, I find it has really improved my skin. I have another product from their collection that I will be reviewing soon.

Overall, I loved this product and my skin care routine will no longer be the same without them. If you’re like me and kind of neglect your nose a little, grab yourself a box of 6 and see how you get on, but trust me, it’ a real game changer!

Thank you for reading my review, I hope you enjoyed it. I would love to know if you have used these nose strips before or if you recommend different ones. Don’t forget to leave a like if you enjoyed this post.

I hope you have a wonderful evening, have fun and stay safe,

A x

Loved reading your review! I have only tried the plain T-zone nose strips before so am intrigued to see what the charcoal ones are like now! I gave my sister my plain ones the other day as she has started doing something she saw on YouTube where you put a bicarbonate of soda and water mixture on your nose which makes the pores easier to pull out and then puts the strips on to fully remove them and it’s really good, know that she wants the charcoal ones as well so will hopefully get to try them soon! 😄❤

Thank you. I’ve never heard of mixing bicarbonate of soda and water before, but I’ll definitely try it. Charcoal has such an amazing effect on the skin, it’s amazing to see the difference. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do 😊 xx

Thank you! If you do It’s supposed to sting a bit and then after a while be wiped off by a hot flannel before applying the nose strip! ❤xx

Love this review! Me and my cousin have been looking for something to get rid of the blackheads on our noses, so we are definitely going to give this a try.
