Colorsport 30 day mascara review

Hello,

Happy Monday lovelies, I hope you’ve all had a wonderful day. From what I have seen, some of you have enjoyed another snow day! You guys are lucky! All I have had is the horrible wind, so I have had to wrap myself up in my dressing gown and chill in front of the fire. (I know, such a hard life, right).

Today, I am actually excited to be sharing this review with you. I briefly touched upon this in Saturdays post, so if you missed that, you can read it here . In short, I was gifted some products from Brodie & Stone and I was kindly gifted this 30 day mascara from Colorsport, so here is my review.

I’m going to be honest with you, when I first received this I thought that I wasn’t going to use it and I will send it back to Brodie and Stone. I have never really done much to my eyelashes before apart from apply mascara. I tried false lashes before but due to the crappie make of them and the general shite quality of them made a reaction and it put me off anything similar, (hence why I don’t wear false lashes).

I decided to give this ago though because it was so kindly sent, and I felt a little rude to not give it a fair chance. So last Tuesday, I plucked up the courage and decided to give it a go. I won’t lie, I was worrying about nothing! It was super easy to do and the results are great.

Let’s talk about the packaging first though (because I love a bit of packaging). It came in a pretty straightforward box. Clearly printed on it is the brand name, what it is and some extra information (and that’s just the front). It has a picture of an eye to show that this product is designed for the eye area. I believe that they also have a brow product too, which has a brow on the box.

The back is full of information, tells you how to use the product, what’s in the kit and extra information to help you determine if this is the product you want.

The kit itself contains a lash brush, eye protection papers, 1 bottle of eyelash colour solution and 1 tube of eyelash colour gel.

The lash brush is small, easy to use and easy to guide around the eyelashes. It’s not too thick but not too thin either. The product stays on the brush and easily glides off when used. I could be wrong, but I am almost certain that make up artists use similar brushes for their mascaras so there is no cross contamination.

The eye protection papers are a bit fiddly but I got there in the end. You need to apply a thick-ish cream underneath the eyes for the paper to be able to stick. Do not get any of the cream on your eyelashes though! I managed to get a couple of little spots of dye on the paper, but that’s what it’s there for, right?

The bottle of colour solution. I used a cotton bud to apply this to my lashes, just because I had seen a few videos of people doing it. It was super easy, didn’t smell bad and very quickly took hold to my lashes. (Usually liquid just falls from my lashes instead of sticking to them.

The colour gel was a little more difficult. It didn’t want to come out of the tube. Once it decided to do its job, it was so easy to brush into my lashes. It managed to pick up all of my lashes which is a bit of a shock because not even mascara does that. I accidentally dropped the brush that had the product on it but nothing serious came from it. I just made a couple of spots on the paper as I mentioned above. The gel didn’t really have a smell to it which is good because you don’t want something smelling crap on your face, or smelling of chemicals.

Overall the process was great. I love my results, I’m looking forward to redoing this in a few weeks when the colour fades. The instructions were so simple to follow, you really couldn’t get it wrong! My lashes have gone from being non existent or crap to looking full of colour and life!

As you can see, my eyelashes now look like eyelashes, you can see that they are there. What I love about this is you can apply mascara on top of your dyed lashes too! I am genuinely obsessed with the way they look, and at any chance I get, I show them off to people. I FINALLY HAVE REAL LASHES!

I owe this all to the lovely ladies I spoke to at Brodie and Stone and to colorsport for their amazing product. I am going to do a little shop soon and pick up a few boxes for my friends and family, I’m going to try the brow one too!

That’s the end of my review lovelies, I hope you enjoyed reading it. If you did, drop me a like and comment below if you have ever tried this product, brand or anything similar. I honestly recommend this so much! You should all give it a try and if you’re like me and had a bad experience with eye lash products before, do not fear, this is 100% not like anything else I have seen and it is also hydrogen – peroxide free!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I hope to see you in the comments and if not I’ll catch you in tomorrow’s post.

Love,

A x
