Dear children

Hi,

You can call me mum, or mummy, I don’t mind which. At the time of writing this you currently don’t exist. I am currently just working on myself and working really hard to have my own business. I have so many things planned for when you are here. I planned all of your names and they are all very special and beautiful, just like you will be.

At the moment I am nineteen, I don’t have a boyfriend so I don’t think you’ll be coming soon. I am so ready for you though. I go a little crazy online and want to buy you all of the cutest outfits, toys and furniture. I already have plans for your nursery, you’ll see how beautiful it will be. I’m going to be a really good mummy to you, I promise.

Somedays won’t be sunshine and rainbows but that’s okay, those days are called let’s snuggle with mummy and have lots of sweeties. Other days, we will be on our little adventures, we’ll explore the world together and spend the whole day smiling.

I really hope that I am still with your daddy whoever he may be, but if I am not, just know that my love is big enough to fill his place. I promise that I will always be there to help you, guide you, make you happy and make you cry, I will be there to pick you up and brush you off. None of your dreams will ever be too big or silly, together we will reach them. I will always protect you, from the monsters under your bed, to the monsters inside yourself.

Mummy has made a lot of mistakes but I promise that you will never be one of them. You’ll be the start to a better life, and you will be so spoilt and smart. I already have plans for if you want to go to University or if you want travel the world.

I want you to know, that no matter what we go through, we will always come out stronger. You will never be left in the dark because you are the light that will forever shine. You will be my best friend, my angel and my perfect blessing. You may not be here right now but I love you so much and I will love you even more.

Stay happy my darlings.

Love,

A x

  1. T^T I’m sobbing. Thank you for sharing such an intimate post with your readers, A. It really pulled at my heartstrings since there is no guarantee that I’ll be able to have children due to my health, so reading about someone else’s aspirations to be a mommy really makes me feel so thankful that there are good people out there. Lovely post
