How my February has been

Hello my lovelies,

Welcome back to another post. You’re getting a post everyday this week! Aren’t you lucky. I misjudged the dates and so Monday’s post set me back a little, but that’s okay, who doesn’t like extra posts right?

Last month, I did a post letting you know how my January went and you seemed to enjoy it, so I thought I would do another one. If you missed that post, you can find it here. It was a really fun post to create. Okay so now lets get onto the actual post.

How my February has been

This month actually hasn’t been that great. With it being my birthday month I thought I was going to have the best time ever, but I was so wrong. I spent my birthday week feeling like crap, I had my friend come down a few days before my birthday but I nearly cancelled it because I was in so much pain. The day before my birthday I was at work and I ended up taking too many pain killers because I just couldn’t tolerate the pain, that night, I also drank a lot of whiskey but it didn’t affect it at all.

My actual birthday day was the worst. I woke up and my face was swollen, I looked disgusting! I opened my presents and went back to bed, I stayed there the whole day! It was no celebration that’s for sure. My face was getting bigger and bigger and the pain was shite. I had to pretty much freeze my face just to get a shimmer of comfort. I spent two weeks with a fat face, feeling like crap, not being able to eat properly or drink which lead me to putting on weight, such fun! I wont lie I showered twice in those two weeks! Grim right. I would hardly stand for longer than 5 minutes without feeling sick or dizzy. I had no energy whatsoever. It took all of my strength just to get out of my bed and go for a pee. I looked like a mess, felt like a mess and truth be told, smelt like a mess too. I tired washing my face but I couldn’t even run a cotton pad over it without crying.

Of course I went to the doctors and if you have seen my ‘How my day has been’ posts you would have seen that the doctors thought it was mumps which is horrible! On top of my swollen face I also had tonsillitis which wasn’t the best either. I had some antibiotics to take for my tonsils, some pain relief for my face and was left just to get on with it because there isn’t anything they can do for mumps. I had a blood test and my results came back inconclusive, so they have no idea why I had a face like a balloon and why I was in so much pain, which is actually very frustrating.

Coming towards the end of the month, my face starts to go back to it’s normal size, my cheeks aren’t as fat as they were. I started to feel better, the pain was going and I was able to eat food, like real food! That’s when I hit the scones and the chocolate. I went back to work which was tough because my energy levels were below zero and I wasn’t up to doing much, but I pushed on anyway. My energy levels are still at zero, all I want to do is sleep all the time which sucks, but then I guess my body isn’t done recovering so I just need to go with the flow. I have now showered regularly which feels great! Goodbye to my super hairy legs haha. I am able to do my make-up and not look like Coco the clown.

My blogs have taken all of my energy hence why some of them are short, but I am constantly working on new posts. Yes, I did mean blogs. I have a second blog account that I will be posting on everyday in March because I am undergoing a strict diet and fitness routine to lose the weight I gained and to be healthier. I also have some fun posts coming up on this blog which have taken all of my energy and I have had to sleep for a couple of days after but it’s so worth it.

I also couldn’t vlog which is frustrating but who wants to see a video of me in bed everyday dribbling? No-one! I am now going to start daily vlogging in March, so the first vlog will be live on March 2nd, the only days I can’t vlog are Saturdays and Sundays because of work.

I am feeling more like myself but it’s a shame it has taken me pretty much a whole month just to recover and get back to some normality. I defiantly do feel like I have wasted this month and I sadly haven’t been able to achieve all of my goals, and that’s dampened my mood. I like to keep being productive as you know, so not being able to do that has made me feel crap about myself. You can read how well I did on my goals here. All in all I am glad February is over and I can now start fresh in March and not dwell too much.

    I hope you’re feeling better now lovely. Keep being positive because although you haven’t been able to reach your goals this month, you always have next month!
