Happy Tuesday and welcome back to another interview, I am beyond thrilled with the amount of you who have been interested in this, as I always say, I have plenty of room to add you all, so if you would like to be featured please do let me know, I have a contact me sheet if you would like to use that, you can DM me on any of my social medias or you can email me yourself using the subject: interview segment. I will link everything below for you but first, I want to share this wonderful interview from the wonderful Anna.
Anna has some amazing answers so I am just going to jump straight into her interview.
1. Introduce yourself, what is your name?
Hello everyone! My name is Anna and I am a Software Testing Engineer/Fashion and Makeup blogger from Greece.
2. What made you want to start a blog?
I had gotten in University and my self-esteem was minus on the scales and I didn’t care all that much about what I was wearing. I started blogging in order to challenge myself and get out of my comfort zone. It really helped boost my confidence, not because I was getting views and likes (I wasn’t) but because I really liked what I was creating.
3. What inspired your blog name?
My blog name has changed 3 times already. It started as A-listers (a bad name play Anna – A-listers), then it was Spotlights on the Redhead (because I dye my hair red duh) and this is the name I mostly worked with and got attention. Now the name is Spotlights on BadWolf and it is a Doctor Who reference. Honestly, if you don’t watch the series it will be hard to explain, I identified with the BadWolf entity/storyline because she was a badass and sassy protector and guide and the most powerful entity in my opinion.
4. Do you think your blog has been a success?
On a personal level absolutely. It has served its purpose. Also, I am no longer limited to just blogging. I run my Instagram and soon my YouTube in addition to the blog. For me, they form a complete image of my beauty and fashion interests.
5. How do you spend your day to day life when you are not blogging?
I have a full-time job and live on my own. In my free time, I play games, watch series or anime, read some books or manga and watch a lot of YouTube or go out with friends.
6. Who knows about your blog and are they supportive?
Most of my relatives and co-workers and all of my friends. While it’s not something I actively advertise there are people in these categories who will mention it. My best friends and my Mom are the most supportive. They read my articles and share stuff (Love you, Mom). Especially when I started I didn’t want people around me to find out, still, it isn’t something I advertise mostly because fashion and beauty are not relevant in my circles.
7. If you weren’t blogging, what do you think you would be doing?
I can’t stand still creatively speaking. Even if I don’t blog as often I post on Instagram. If I don’t do something relevant I feel…grey, uninspired, dull. My work alone isn’t enough to fill that void.
8. What/who inspires your new posts?
Nothing. I used to get inspired by other fashion bloggers, like Kayture (Christina Bazan), but this stopped when I became more confident and found my style. Now that I am trying to better my makeup skills I will search for inspiration in face charts or other looks but I’m sure this will change as I get more confident in my skills and knowledge.
9. Do you have any social media links you would like to share?
10. What is your blogging goal for the next 5 years?
KEEP DOING IT. It’s a struggle to post regularly because I can’t find someone to take photos so I switched to Instagram and youtube (soon). But I will keep doing it.
This is all from me. I hope you enjoyed it! If you have any questions you can ask me on Twitter!
