Review: Zoella Warm Hands, Warm Hearts, Travel Mug Gift Set

Hello,

Happy Saturday. How are you? I hope you have all had a wonderful day. What have you done today? I have spent the day catching up on some reading and preparing my things ready for tomorrow. I have had a very relaxed feel to my day, which I am enjoying because tomorrow it will be totally different.

As you can see, today I am bringing you a review. Now, I am a little late to jump on the Zoella bandwagon, but I thought I would treat myself while purchasing my families Christmas presents. I am now regretting that choice. When my items arrived, I was excited to try out Zoella’s gift set, so I unpacked it straight away, put on the fingerless gloves, which I am obsessed with and I went down to try the mug.

Before I use any new mug or glass I have to wash it, so I did, but I noticed as I was washing it, some of the marble cover was coming off, I thought nothing of it, maybe the water unstuck the glue. So I proceeded to make my hot chocolate and off I went, back to wrapping presents. The loose bit of marble print was annoying me so I pulled it off, but I found that the more I ran my finger down the cup, the more pattern would come off, and now I don’t mean I sat there and purposefully made this happen, I literally ran my finger over it, not my fingertip or anything sharp. The more times I use it, the more of the pattern comes off, just by holding the cup has rubbed away some of the lettering.

I dislike the lid too, I think its great that she decided to use a twist lid because lets face it, we have all experienced those pop on lid horrors, but with this lid, you have to twist it a certain way for it to actually go on, when it does go on, and you’ve made it as tight as you can, the entrance point to be able to drink it wasn’t at the back of the mug, it was at the side, which makes taking pictures of you being cute, drinking your hot chocolate, very hard.

For me, personally I love the marble patterning, I love anything marble, but I am very disappointed by the quality of the product. Again, while it was being washed up, more of the pattern came off. I didn’t even have the water that hot. I am in love with the fingerless gloves though, she did a great job in that department. I pair them with my blue bobble hat and my boots to make my outfit super cute.

I know Zoella has had a lot of negative responses recently, and my intention is to not add fuel to the fire, I am just disappointed that my product isn’t that great. I do have other Zoella products which I have had no problems with, it’s just one of those things that happen.

That is the end of the review, has this happened to you before? Is there a way I can prevent anymore coming off? Let me know in the comments.

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this review, if you did don’t forget to like and leave a comment. I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow.

Stay safe,

A x
