My name is A, I am eighteen and this is my blog. I was born on Thursday 4th February 1999, after giving my mum a two-day labour. I went to school and passed my GCSE’s but was unable to finish my AS levels (I was kicked out from school). I currently work as a housekeeper in an elderly care home, which is basically a polite way of saying I am a cleaner. My biggest dream is to become a carer because I love looking after others, I always put them before myself, which at times comes across fake, but I’m as genuine as it gets. I have nothing to hide, hence why I am about to share this story with you.
A little background story
I used to run a blog called Imagalaxygirl, but I stopped writing on there on November 24th 2017. I created this blog on November 3rd 2017 because I needed a fresh start. My old blog was amazing, I was uploading posts I loved, I was uploading product reviews for some amazing brands and I had a great group of supporters. The reason I stopped that blog was because of the hidden meaning behind it. When I was 14, I was sexually assaulted, the person got sentenced and taken away, but I was left with the guilt, the worry, the pain of it all. I started seeing my school councillor, she was the worst, she made my feelings of guilt heighten, and I took to self harming to try to escape the pain. I then started seeing a group called CAHMS, they were just as bad, I would have a different person each week, which meant I had to tell a new person what I went through, and that was hard. I hated talking about it, about him. My self harming got worse, my suicide attempts failed and I was lost in a pit of darkness, that’s when I came across blogging. I set up my page and began writing about him, I was anonymous at the time so no-one would ever had known, I then started writing about anything that came to mind, beauty, fashion, health ect. I soon deleted those posts about him once my blog was getting recognition, but just because those posts were deleted, it didn’t mean that they weren’t there. Time went past and I was beginning to work with brands, I was beginning to get recognised and I loved that feeling. Then a bad day happened, I was trying to write a post and all I was writing was things about him, I was having flashbacks, that felt so real, and I created a post that I never thought I would. The issue with that now is I can’t escape that post. So I decided to make a new blog, I stuck with my galaxy girl theme because I am out of this world. And that leads us to here.
More about me
As you read, I was kicked out from finishing my AS levels. This wasn’t because I was a bad student, in fact most of the time I would sit in silence and just get on with it. I was actually kicked out because of a medical problem. At the moment it has been diagnosed as Non Epileptic seizures, which means I have the same seizures as an epileptic person, there is just no medication I can take to prevent them from happening. I was kicked out because I would seizure everyday, sometimes before school, sometimes during school and others after school. It wasn’t always a full body seizure either, sometimes it would just be me spitting because I am unable to swallow and my right arm would jerk. Full body ones were and still are a lot more intense. After a full body seizure I am unable to move, I am unable to talk and my eyes will not focus, so I was unable to attend school. My attendance became low and the school got annoyed because it was making them look bad. So in February 2017, after my eighteenth birthday, they kicked me out. It was covenant for them because once you’re eighteen you don’t have to be in education. I am currently undergoing more tests to find a way to help with my seizures, so as and when I find out new information, you will too.
This is me:
About the blog
Now most blogs only focus on one specific topic such as lifestyle or beauty. My blog is going to cover it all. From posts about my life, reviews, workouts and recipes, my blog is going to be like stepping into the world wind that I call my brain. Every post will vary, some will be short (minimum of 500 words) and some will be long (minimum of 1500 words). It all depends on what I decide to talk about. I have a schedule ready and waiting to be used, so make sure you read my Welcome post to find out more.
I have always said from the very start of blogging that I would interact with anyone and everyone. I do aim to follow everyone’s blog back, but if it’s not written in English, I am afraid I wont be following you due to the simple fact that I don’t have a clue what your post says. I always do my best to keep up-to-date with your new posts, but if I did miss one, feel free to link it into one of my posts comments, I will be sure to check it out then. The comments section is not a place for you to advertise your blog unless stated in my post, so please do not just comment some nonsense and a link and expect followers. The comments section is for you to ask me questions, to tell me what you liked about my post and to suggest ways of how I can improve my post. I am always happy to read constructive criticism.
My photos are taken from my phone, more specifically my Snapchat. I spend a lot of time trying to take good photographs that link in well with my posts. If you do find a photo that you want to share, please make sure you give credit, I had a lot of issues with my last blog with people claiming that it was their picture. If I have taken a photo from a website or from someone else’s blog I will leave a disclaimer at the end of the post.
Well my lovelies, that concludes my about me page, leave any questions and I will answer them as soon as I can. Don’t forget to share my blog with your friends too.
If you would like a copy of my media kit, use my contact form and I will get back to you within 2-3 working days. I am open to collaborations whether they be with bloggers or brands.
