Happy Wednesday! I am back from Somerset and ready to crack on with working hard now, it’s been an incredible time away but for the next three months, I really do have a lot to do!
I’m going to break this down into sections for you to pinpoint some exciting news, my trips away and everything else! Let’s start with Cardiff.
For a girl who had only travelled as far as Macclesfield to visit her boyfriend, hitting the road and heading for a night in Cardiff was definitely an exciting experience. I had never stayed in a hotel until that point either so I was enjoying every minute.
We headed to Cardiff to celebrate the fact that Jack is a frickin genius and passed his NVQ (just in time too considering Thomas Cook is now gone!) He had been wanting to go on the Ion Maden flight simulator for as long as I can remember, so his parents surprised him with the opportunity to do just that!
It was an incredible experience for me too, I have never been on a plane and this really gave me an insight into the real thing, sat up there right next to him as we’re taking off and landing again, my reaction couldn’t be any better to be honest!
Cardiff is a beautiful place, definitely somewhere I’d consider moving to that’s for sure. I’d love to head back next year so who knows, if you’re following my new blog, you’ll see some travel posts.
While we’re on the topic of travel, last week I was spending my time down in Somerset again. This time was a little different, I don’t think we did as much as we did last time, but I’m happy chilling as long as I’ve got Jack there. We did head out and do some shopping, we managed to pull off the best surprise birthday breakfast and I was spoilt with gifts. Jack brought be the cutest teddy cow and it’s sat on my bed since I’ve been home. He also brought me the prettiest Pandora ring! I refuse to take it off.
While in Somerset, Jack had wanted to do the Glastonbury tor, we hadn’t managed to do it the first time around, so we did it this time. After so much drama, and after I almost gave up, we made it to the top and enjoyed the spectacular views!
I’m so glad I did it! If we go back, we’re thinking of either going super early in the morning to watch the sunrise or late enough to watch the sunset, both of which will look incredible.
I am starting my new job on Monday! My last day working in my current job is Sunday, so I have a busy weekend! I’m a little nervous because I’m going to be doing something I have never done before, something that I literally have no experience in whatsoever, but I’m also so excited to be doing something I’ve always wanted to do!
My new role will be a Support Worker for Disabled Adults. I’ve been wanting to actually care for people for as long as I can remember and now that I’m finally getting the opportunity to do so, I cannot wait to watch my career grow. I can explore so many new avenues once I’ve started, once I’ve been doing this for a year or so I also plan on heading to college to explore the avenue of teaching.
I am doing so well! I’m extremely happy and I’m so proud of myself. Things between Jack and I couldn’t be better, everyday we’re just growing and our bubble hasn’t popped yet! I’ve been neglecting my exercise and not been bothering with weighing myself so that’s got to change, but I’ve noticed that my confidence is booming!
I’ve met up with some friends, some I had not seen in over a year and some that I’ve not seen because my schedule is always so full! It’s been so good to actually get out of the house and do something other than housework.
I’ll be working on my new blog very soon! Of course I’ll be making it self hosted so I need to have a look around at the best kind of prices, I’m also looking at applying for my passport and provisional license! Honestly the year 2020 is going to be the one where I travel, drive and enjoy every minute I have! I couldn’t be more excited.
Over the next few months I do have some collaboration posts for you, mainly books but that’s totally okay with me! My last blog post on here will be December 30th! So we don’t have long to go!
Big thank you!
I do need to thank you all for being so damn supportive of me! From my lack of posts on here and all social media’s to just being my friends when I needed some reassurance and a “shoulder” to cry on! You’re all insanely sweet! It’s been an absolute pleasure having all of you on my Lifelikeagalaxygirl journey and I look forward to seeing how many of you will join my new journey as Alanna Jean, not only through blogging but YouTube as well.
Thank you so much for reading my post! I’ll be back later on this today to share my autumn clothes wish list with you all, so head back her for 8:30pm!
I’m sending you lots of love,
