Hello,
Happy Wednesday everyone how are you, I hope you have had a great day. I am feeling a little better than I have been I have been keeping my fluids up and taking a lot of naps to restore my energy.
This month has absolutely dragged and I am so happy that it is almost over because it is my birthday in 5 days! I can finally start getting excited and start preparing myself for my week-long celebrations. The only positive factor about the fact that this month has dragged is I have had a plenty of time to try and achieve my goals. before I let you know how well I have done let’s just refresh your memory on the goals I set myself.
My goals
- Save £50 – I have chosen £50 on top of the 10% I’d save from my wages because honestly I’d end up spending that within a few days on food, alcohol and other unnecessary items.
- Drink 2-3 litres a day – I know this sounds like a lot, but I used to drink this amount and then I just stopped keeping up with my fluids. I definitely need to start drinking more again.
- Unplug more – I had a week off from my blog and although I missed not posting, I enjoyed having time away from the screen, I have decided every weekend I will spend 2 hours off my phone and away from any screens.
- Give more compliments – I like to think I am a kind person, if I think your make-up looks pretty I will tell you, if I like your outfit, I’ll ask where you got it from etc, I’d like to compliment more people though, not just my friends, I’d like to start complimenting myself more too.
- Read three books – I am currently on the second book in the Harry Potter collection and there are seven in total, I would like to be on the fifth book by the time this month ends.
- Have a healthier diet – By this I mean I want to eat the correct meals a day and make sure they have a nutritional value.
- Spend more time outside – I did turn into a bit of a hermit in December, I really didn’t venture outside and I spent the majority of my time in bed. I want to get out more and get back into my photography too.
- Declutter – I know this is one of my new year resolutions but I really want to work on cutting down on space and getting rid of the things I have been holding on to for absolutely no reason.
- Cut down on sugar – I don’t have a lot of sugar in my drinks but it’s the amount that is hidden in my food, I need to half the amount of sugar I am consuming.
- Travel somewhere – I already have this one set, I have a few places in mind already and I have my travel diary ready!
- Vlog – I have one pretty well with that so far, I vlog from Monday to Friday and upload on a Sunday at 6pm. I’ll pop a link to my channel here for any of you who are interested.
- Call people – I don’t really understand why no-one likes to call anymore? I need to make more of an effort to actually speak to people.
- Eat breakfast – I am so bad at doing this, I get to work and feel dead because I’ve not had anything to eat
- Write a gratitude journal – I am grateful for a lot of things but I don’t say it enough so I want to do a list.
- Meditate – I want to try and focus my energy into something good, and I feel meditation would be a good thing to try.
Honestly looking at that list I know that I haven’t completed half of them but I have completed some so let’s see how well I have done.
My goal review
- Save £50 – I haven’t been able to achieve this this month.I unfortunately have had a little pick up with my wage this month so things have been a little tighter than I would have liked it to be.
- Drink 2-3 litres a day – I have been able to achieve this. I think that’s because I am ill. I have probably drank way more than that.
- Unplug more – I have absolutely loved taking time away from my phone and away from social media in general to just live in the moment.
- Give more compliments – I’m getting better at just complimenting random people but I need to work on complimenting my boyfriend. He is the cutest and says the most sweetest things and I’m not really used to that so I am kind of blunt back to him which I feel really bad about. So I am working on being kind up to you my boyfriend.
- Read three books –I have definitely failed this one I haven’t read a full book this month let alone three!
- Have a healthier diet –Yes!! I have absolutely smashed this one! I’ve lost so much weight too so I’m feeling so good.
- Spend more time outside –Not in this cold weather! I can just about make it to the shop and back.
- Declutter – I have thrown so much away. I still have a long way to go but I made a start.
- Cut down on sugar – I have done so well on this too. It’s definitely contributed to my weight loss.
- Travel somewhere – I will upload a travel post next month for you! I’m very excited to start my travel diary.
- Vlog – I have uploaded two so far! Last week I just didn’t have the time to and this week I am feeling so run down, I don’t want to have that documented.
- Call people – I call my boyfriend! I did try my best to call others but honestly they bore me.
- Eat breakfast – I brought myself Coco pops so I am so happy!
- Write a gratitude journal – I have a little journal that I keep hidden away. I am very grateful for a lot of things.
- Meditate – I tried it but I have taken a step into pilates and I am loving that instead.
There we go my loves, that is the end of my January goals review. Thank you for reading tonight’s post, I hope you have enjoyed it. If you have be sure to leave a like and comment a goal you have achieved below.
