Happy Wednesday and a very happy new year to you all! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas break and celebrated the end of 2018 in style! I took a week off to spend time with my family, spend time on myself and just relax and to be honest with you, I loved it! Sometimes you don’t realise you need a break until you take one. Saying that, I am so happy to be back and to be creating new posts, I definitely missed it.
Yesterday was technically the first day of 2019 and I spent it creating some new blog posts, replying to emails and getting my s**t together and I can hand on heart tell you, this year is gong to be my best year! I have set out my positive energy and taken out the trashy friends, toxic family members and removed every ounce of negativity from around me. I am definitely due some good karma!
I set myself some new years resolutions this year as well as individual monthly goals, I am determined to achieve everything on my lists this year! I wanted to share my new years resolutions with you because a) I love reading these types of posts so hopefully some of you do too and b) I know that it’s hard to think of something but once you’ve seen it somewhere else you think about the benefits of trying it out for yourself.
My 2019 resolutions
Go out more and seek adventures – I have planned a few travel trips that I will one hundred percent be taking this year, they’re based around the UK but I am also hoping to be able to kick of my travel year with a few trips abroad too.
Buy a car – I applied for my provisional licence at the end of 2018 and I aim to be taking my lessons from February onwards, I plan on buying a car by the end of August beginning of September. I know that seems a while away, but I need to save!
Spend less money – Speaking of saving, I plan on putting away 10% of my wages into my savings account, paying my bills and then leaving the rest alone. I spend way too much money on items I don’t need, such as books, new clothes, alcohol and food. I want to spend my money on things that are necessary.
Read more – I have plenty of books but I don’t allow myself to just sit down and read them, so I’m going to work on that more. I don’t upload on a Tuesday, Thursday or the weekends so I am going to set Tuesdays and Thursdays as my reading days.
Start meal prepping – I need to focus more on my weight this year, not because I am unhealthily over weight because I’m not, but because I have so much more confidence when I am loving my body. I already have a workout routine in place, I just need to work on eating three main meals a day and having 2 snacks a day too. Eating is my main issue, I can go so log without eating, but when I do, I eat the wrong foods.
Declutter – I need to minimise the amount of thing I have and hold on to. My room looks like a state right now because I have way too much stuff just taking over. I need to go through everything and only keep the items I use on a regular basis or I have used in the last three months. The same goes for my wardrobe and shoes.
That is all I have set for my new year resolutions, I haven’t set myself many, but the ones I have set are ones that I will benefit the most from. I have a lot of exciting times ahead this year and I get to document them all. I am also vlogging, which is actually going pretty well.
Thank you for reading tonight’s post, I hope you enjoyed it and have found some inspiration for your resolutions if you have not already set some. If you did enjoy this post, be sure to let me know by leaving a like and comment something you’re looking forward to this year – mine is seeing Post Malone in March and my twentieth birthday in February.
Thank you for coming back and supporting my blog again this year! I will be back on Friday.
