Review: Mortar-X blocking card

Review: Mortar-X blocking card

Hello,

Happy Friday lovelies, how are you? I hope you have all had a wonderful day, tonight I am very excited to bring you this review.

I reached out to the brand on Twitter, and they sent me an email with all the information about the product and asked whether I would be happy to review it on my blog and I absolutely loved the concept behind it and I thought that it would be really useful for you guys especially those of you who are currently at uni.

What is a Mortar-X blocking card?

The Mortar-X blocking card is a handy little card goes into your purse/wallet and actively blocks and protects against any attempts by fraudsters with scanning devices from stealing your contactless debit/credit card data.

The card itself is thicker than your credit card but it isn’t too thick is that make sense. the card interferes with the signal from a machine that picks up your contactless information. obviously with a contactless card you don’t need to type in your pin you can just scan and you will transfer is complete.

I myself have a contactless bank card and I do worry about it a lot, there are a lot of people at that can get hold of your details through your contactless card all they need to do is walk past with the right equipment it will scan your card and fraud will take place. For your contactless information to be taken you don’t have to have your card directly on the machine, so you can just brush past them with your bag who has the right equipment and your information can be stollen that way.

With the Mortar-X blocking card, you don’t need to worry about this happening, record blocks any signals that are trying to pick up you all contactless information. I know this part fact because I tested this out in a shop.

I went to use my contactless card on the machine and I had my Mortar-X card in front of my contactless card and it completely stopped the transaction from happening. The machine didn’t pick up my contactless card because the Mortar-X had picked up all of the signal.

Why I think you should have a Mortar-X card

Using your contactless card whether you at uni or not is just one of life’s easiest options, you can go to a club and just tap your card and that’s it job done, that is how quickly your information can be stolen!

Having having this card in your purse or wallet just gives you a bit of peace of mind when it comes to the safety of your money and information. It’s so easy to be scammed on a night out not many people realise they’re especially in are age category.

The card is literally in expensive and it has such a huge impact it’s definitely worth investing in not only to avoid fraud but ease your mind.

The card comes in two different patterns and you can purchase them for £6.95 from Amazon I will leave the link to the card I have here ( this is not an affiliate of link I will not get paid for you clicking here) they do have an original design for those who don’t want flowers which you can find here ( again this is not an affiliate link I will not get paid for you clicking here).

There’s more to know?

Absolutely there’s more to know! I have spoken how the card stop fraud from your contactless credit cards but did you know that it also protects you with

  • Credit & Debit Cards
  • Biometric Passports
  • ID Cards
  • NFC-Enabled Mobile Phones
  • Key Cards/Fobs & Entry Cards

The Mortar-X Card shares its dimensions with a standard credit/debit card, fitting easily into your wallet without taking up excess space. The 1.2mm depth of the card is slightly thicker than a standard credit card, which allows for the battery-free internal circuitry and shielding module.
No need to purchase a new bulky RFID Blocking Wallet / Purse, no need to buy multiple blocking cards. Instead, save your money and just add a single Mortar-X Card to your wallet. One card offers effective RFID/NFC Theft Protection for your entire wallet.
Mortar-X features the latest 13.56Mhz Advanced Shielding Module which automatically draws energy from the scanner and creates a disruptive field which jams the signal and prevents the successful reading of cards within its proximity.

Did I mention that you also get free delivery? That means you pay £6.95 for a Mortar-X card that protect your whole purse or wallet! What is not to love about this card?

I have had mine for a week and a little bit now and I definitely feel a lot safer walking around with my purse knowing that this card is in there and my credit cards my ID and my other cards can not have their information stolen.

I 100% recommend this to you, to anyone who has any cards that are able to give off a signal. It’s such a affordable investment and the way I see it is you are saving yourself in the long run.
