A very real bedroom tour

A very real bedroom tour

Happy Wednesday lovelies! I hope you’re all well and having a great day! I’m sorry that this post is a little late, I’m currently suffering really bad with what I think is a chest infection (I’m going to try to get a doctor’s appointment).

Tonight, I am bringing you a well promised post. I’m finally sharing my room tour with you! I’m going to be really honest with you, I’ve made this post as real as I can, by sharing what my room usually looks like. This means that I’ve not gone out of my way to make it look perfect, I have clothes out, a mess on top of my draws ect, I’m not hiding anything from you! Shall we jump straight in?

My very real room tour

This is the view you get when you open my bedroom door. As you can see I have pink walls and a very tattered blue carpet that needs replacing. You can also see the amount of space I have as soon as you walk into my room it is fairly big compared to my old room.

As as soon as you walk in I have a clothes Hook hanging by the door which is currently holding my coat, my dressing gown, a few of my work uniforms and a few dresses. This section is currently a mess I am working on making it look a little more presentable.

Below blow my clothes hook I have my most used handbags I then also have my scrapbook my folders my photo album and colouring/ art supplies. I like to have them by the door because I like to sit on the floor and do some scrapbooking or general art.

Next to my folders I have this 3 drawer unit, this currently holds my medicines my party supplies and my jewellery and little keepsakes. On top is a bit of a mess. I have a few DVDs my two money jars and my little basket full of my everyday essentials, alongside I’m a huge pen pot which needs sorting out and a few cups.

Next to that is a my very cool bookcase, this actually turns around and I have more books stored the other side. I absolutely love this and it’s super easy to use/find the book I’m looking for. I’ve recently sorted out my books and I’m ready to purchase some more!

Next up we have my second storage draws. These contain my beauty essentials from perfumes to cotton pads, I literally store everything in here! The bottom draw is my absolute favourite though because it holds my makeup.

On top I have a few storage boxes that I’ll be using in the future for something quite special. I also have an empty Jaffa cake box (I may have been a little bit hungry), my necklace holder and a beautiful table piece that belongs to my nan. It’s very special to me because it contains memories of my Granddad.

Now moving on to the little bit of a mess, I have an empty bottle just lying on the floor. I have my gorgeous pairs of heels that go with both my dresses that are hanging up on the clothes hook. The big box on the bottom is my memory box, it has everything in there from love letters to hospital bands. I like to keep everything! I also have a little box on top that contains envelopes and sellotape. My bear that I have kept since I was a baby stays there too.

Getting more to the messy side of my room is my chest of drawers. This is where all of my clothes are cramped into. On top is full of tablets, receipts and a whole lot more mess. It’s definitely not the cleanest part that’s for sure! Weirdly enough though, I can find everything I’m looking for on it!

Above my chest of drawers is my mirror and two photo frames. I’ve added little bubbles over the top of the photos because it includes pictures of family and I like to keep that to myself. Have a cool selfie though!

This is where the real mess is! Right next to my bed is a rocking chair and a fan because I have to have a fan on 24/7! Next to the rocking chair of doom is a bag full of washing (which is now done and put away!) and my super cozy slippers.

The rocking chair of doom! I like to call it that because I honestly would love to avoid this part of my room, the rocking chair stores anything from clean clothes to dirty clothes, books bills, wires and anything else really. It’s safe to say this isn’t used as a rocking chair! I’m sure one day I will tackle it but for now I don’t have that sort of energy!

Last but not least is my bed which is my favourite place in my room. It is a king size bed I believe which is incredible because I’m so used to sleeping on the bottom bunk on a bunk bed, so the sizing is incredible! This is where the magic happens and by the magic I mean sleep and blog posts! That’s literally all my bed is used for, I don’t even share it with the dog! Well actually, I did only once…

I’m going to do a video version of this post because I feel you’d be able to see it a little better and actually get the sizing of the room. I want to do more room videos so maybe I’ll share what’s inside my draws and things, if that’s something you’re interested in, please do let me know because I think that would be really cool to create.

Thank you for reading, that is it for my post. I will let you know when the room tour video is up but it won’t be until next week. If you don’t already, follow my YouTube channel, I am currently vlogging ( a vlog will be up tomorrow!) you can find the link here.

if you enjoyed my post be sure to you give it a like and leave a comment below I will be back tomorrow with my August favourites! I can’t believe that this month is pretty much over with it has gone so fast!

Sending you lots of love,

A x

Aww this makes me miss my room at my parents house. It was a red, loads of house plants and blond wood furniture. And a fan right next to the bed!
