Happy Thursday lovelies, before I start with this post I want to apologise for this post not going up yesterday, I had a spur of the moment pyjama party so I decided to not worry about typing this post and just enjoy myself. And that’s exactly what I did.
As you can see from the title, I am talking about Spring today, so I’ll cover things like what I love about spring to what I plan on doing this season. I have some very cute lamb photos to share with you too. So to begin with, I’m going to talk about why I love spring.
Why I love spring
Spring is one of the best times of the year because everything is so fresh and new lives are being created. The flower start to bloom, the sun almost shines, the birds fly around effortlessly singing their morning-glory songs. Everything just seems so steady and peaceful.
Spring to me is the “get shit done” season, so from your average spring cleaning to going out and enjoying thee world around you. It’s time to move, to be alive. In winter, we are all kind of just wondering around, not really sure what to do with ourselves, we’re not sure what the weather is going to do and we’re just in the gloom period when we really don’t have much to look forward to since Christmas is over.
In spring, there is so much going on, from lambing weekends to Easter egg hunts we really do get to enjoy a lot. My favourite spring event is the lambing weekends, I’m lucky enough to visit a farm weekly to see the lambs (they are so cute!) and watch them grow. Being nineteen, I am now over the age of being allowed to join an Easter egg hunts which is quite sad really, so I have to find my own entertainment.
Spring is where my best photography happens, I don’t know why because I don’t do anything different. I love going for long walks through the fields to see the wild rabbits run around, capture the birds flying about the ponds or houses and hearing the little lambs call out that they are hungry. I don’t have many daffodils growing around where I live, but I have plenty of wild daisies and some sunflowers already popping through. My rose bush is starting to bud too! It was still in full bloom Christmas day!
I think my favourite type of photography is nature, I love how you can take a photograph of something one day and when you go back a few days later, it looks completely different. That’s sort of how spring works too, everything is changing and growing and surviving and it’s just beautiful!
I could speak about spring all day but I know that it would bore most of you, so instead, here is my plans for this season.
