What’s in my bag

What’s in my bag

Hey,

Happy Wednesday, how are you all? I am not feeling any better, infact the pain has increased and my face is fatter then ever. It’s really not a good look.

Today, I am bringing you a what’s in my bag post. I recently purchased a bag from Boutique of Molly UK and I am literally obsessed with it. It’s the perfect size, the perfect colour, just genuinally perfect! So of course I changed my bag over, and I thought I would update you on what’s in my bag. It’s changed a lot.

First of all, I want to show you this bag, so you can fully understand why I am in love.

It’s grey, it’s super casual looking, it has split insides so all my junk doesn’t get mixed up. Honestly, this is my perfect handbag. So what do I keep inside?

Well, I keep all of this plus some chewing gum and a mascara. You may not think that it’s a lot of things but the things are totally random and should not be in a handbag, but for someone who actually doesn’t go out often, this is quite a lot to have in a bag. So let me take you through what I have in my bag and why.

I’m going to start off with my notebooks and pens.

Why do I have two notebooks? Well one simply isn’t enough. I’m just kidding. I have a plain boring notebook just incase I need to write down any important infomation, record any numbers and things like that. I also have it in my bag just incase I have a seizure and I can write down things because I am unable to talk.

I then have my bloggers journal. Now, I don’t actually use it to record what post I am going to write like you a meant to, I can get inspiration from anyone and anywhere, so I like to write rough ideas down and later come up with a post idea and write it into my notepad that has blog posts in all the way up until 2023!

I need my pens to write things down, I mean I’m not magical! I would be normal and just carry a biro in my bag, but I find that they quite often explode, and there is no way that I am going to be ruining my bag with ink. Having these pens in a case means if one exploded, it would be in a case and not over my bag and the contents in my bag. I also like to have a variety of colours to write in, because black and blue just bores me.

Next up we have some pills.

No, I am not just taking pills for the fun of it. These are actually special diet pills given by my doctor in order to help me maintain my weight. I am currently on the contraceptive injection and unfortunately it makes me gain a lot of weight, which in the long run could cause me other issues, so I would rather take control now rather than later. They’re also blue which is quite cool!

After my blue pills, I have my purse.

Any normal person will carry a purse in their bag, I have too otherwise I will lose my bank card (again) and I just hate having to search the bottom of a bag for loose change. My purse sadly isn’t grey, it’s cream, but it has a similar lock on the front so it sort of goes with my bag.

Next up we have a book.

My current handbag book is The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins. I haven’t got very far into it yet, but I like to have a book handy just incase a) I get bored or b) I need to escape an awkward situation. It’s always good to read too.

After my book, I like to carry my favourite liquid lipstick and a mirror.

As you can see, this mirror is personalised. I like to keep it in my handbag because it’s special. It’s such a thoughtout and pratical 18th birthday gift, so instead of it sitting around, I thought I would put it to good use.

Next up I have an obvious item. In my bag I have my keys.

As you can see, I have a ton of keyrings on it, I have three keys on it and the rest is my keyrings. Maybe I’ll do a post on my keyrings if any of you would be interested in that, they each have a meaning to me. Anyway, I have my door key and then two keys that open my vanity case.

After my keys I have another obvious item, well items. I have my phone and my headphones.

A phone is an obvioud choice to have in a bag, I mean, we all use one, it’s how we contact our friends and family. Its especially important that I have mine on me at all times just incase I have a seizure, people can get hold of my mum if they need too.

I like to carry my headphones with me because I get stressed easily, if I am in a car or any transport for a long period of time, I start getting stressed and stress often leads to my seizures, so I like to listen to music just to ease myself and keep myself calm. I also carry these ones because they can flash, so when I am in the dark walking home listening to music, people can see me because my headphones flash.

Next up we have a simple body spray.

I don’t use anything fancy, I’m not the type of girl who will go buy a Victoria Secrets spray or anything like that. I picked this up in Superdrug way back in October and I just keep it in my bag for when I feel like I just need a spritz or for when I walk in a room and it smells a bit off. You can never be too prepared!

Lastly, in my bag I carry two pairs of socks.

Why two? Well I like to keep ankle socks in my bag because they are super easy to put on, easy to slide off and go with any shoe (apart from sandals, socks and sandals together are NEVER okay!) I then like to have a pair of normal socks. It just so happens that these ones at the moment are pink Christmas socks, but I like to keep them for when I get extra cold, I can slip an extra pair of socks on, or for when I’m not wearing any socks and I need to put some on. It’s always handy to have them!

That is everything I like to carry in my bag. It seems like a weird combination of things, but as you can see, there is logic behind each item. Soon I will be adding an umbrella and in the summer it will be a bottle of water and moisturiser. Now, I bet you’re wondering how all of this fits in my bag, well let me show you.

I very cleverly sectioned them. My keys, socks, purse and pills go in my front section, this is the side I use the most so it makes sense. My phone sits in a little pouch on the side and my headphones sit in a little pouch next to that. So my most important items are always handy to reach.

The middle section (the bit with the closed zip) is my pens. I like them to be in their own little space just incase the worst happens.

At the back, I have my two notepads, my book and my spray. Things that I would grab for but not all of the time. In a little zip pouch behind that, I keep my mirror, lipstick, mascara and chewing gum. They are safely tucked away so they can’t get lost, damaged or stuck anywhere.

And that my loves, concludes my What’s in my bag post. I’d love to know what you keep in your bag, so if you enjoyed this post, why not leave a like and let me know in the comments. If you really enjoyed this post, share it with your friends and family.

Thank you so much for reading my lovelies, I hope you enjoyed my post and don’t think I’m too weird. If you’d like to know more about the brand and the bag quality, feel free to ask or I can do a seperate post on them.

Before I go, I want to say that I am hosting a giveaway on my Twitter, so head over to there and follow the rules (it’s my pinned tweet).

Love,

A x
