Happy Tuesday and welcome back. How strange is it to see a post going up on a Tuesday. For the next few months (or however long this lasts) I am going to be uploading a post every Tuesday at 7pm.
I prefer hot chocolate is the name for my interview segment. I have created 10 questions to ask bloggers as a way to get to know more about them and to promote them/their blog. I currently have interviews leading up until April, but if you would like to take part in this, then feel free to drop your email below.
I called my interview segment, I prefer hot chocolate because it was something new, something no-one else would have thought of. I have seen a lot of coffee chats or coffee talks and I just thought, well I don’t actually like coffee and I don’t want to be hidden amongst the group of coffee talking people, so I decided to take the plunge to stand out while including my favourite hot beverage.
Today, my interview is with Soph from love, Soph. Without further ado, her is Soph’s answers.
My interview with Sophie
1. Introduce yourself, what is your name?
Hi! My name is Sophie, I’m a fifteen year old beauty and lifestyle blogger & I blog about a whole range of topics, not just those two! I post on a Wednesday and Saturday evening.
2. What made you want to start a blog?
I started my blog when I was twelve and simply because of boredom! I was so bored and figured I’d take up blogging as a hobby and I assumed I’d ditch it when I didn’t become an overnight sensation! However, I stuck at it and although my growth was practically miniscule at the start, I’ve become way more devoted now and I love blogging – I don’t think I could ever ditch it!
3. What inspired your blog name?
My name now is Love, Soph which was decided upon simply because it sounded nice and my blog is all about sharing the things I love. However, it was originally the same as my URL, which is based on Zalfie as when I was twelve I used to be very much obsessed with them!
(For those of you who don’t know what/who Zalfie is, it is Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes ship name. They are very popular Youtubers).
4. Do you think your blog has been a success?
I definitely do! While it has not grown as fast as other bloggers over the past three years, the more work I put into it the more I seem to get out of it, which is why I try to work so hard at it now.
5. How do you spend your day to day life when you are not blogging?
I’m currently in year 11, so my day to day existence involves LOTS of studying for GCSEs, and a lot of procrastinating over doing my homework, which is not ideal!
6. Who knows about your blog and are they supportive?
Lots of people know about my blog, and almost all of them are supportive. If I didn’t want someone to know because I knew they weren’t going to be supportive then I wouldn’t tell them, but mostly my friends just seem to find my blog and they’re always very kind about it and I would hope they think it’s a good thing – we don’t talk about it much really. My family have always known about my blog and are always very supportive, they’re always very excited about it whenever I get an exciting opportunity.
7. If you weren’t blogging what do you think you would be doing?
I think I’d probably just be going about my normal life, going to school and working for my exams!
8. What/who inspires your new posts?
I gather inspiration from everywhere; Pinterest, other bloggers and of course my trusty notebook filled with ideas! Nobody in particular inspires me as such.
9. Do you have any social media links you would like to share?
I most certainly do!
Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/lovesophblog_/
Twitter – https://twitter.com/Love_SophBlog
Pinterest – https://www.pinterest.co.uk/lovesoph_/
10. What is your blogging goal for the next five years?
I’d like to grow my blog as much as I can, hopefully get my own domain and go self hosted, and do some sponsored content. I don’t see myself being able to blog as my job, but I certainly would like it to be a big, rewarding hobby of mine.
Thank you so much Sophie for taking your time to answer my questions, I loved getting to know more about you and your blog. You are very successful with your blog so I am certain you will achieve those five year goals.
I would love for you all to head over and check out Sophie’s blog which is linked at the beginning and to check out her other social media’s that she linked. Sophie is a very dedicated hard working young woman and you will soon see her go onto do some very amazing things.
I truly enjoyed this interview, I hope you enjoyed reading it too, if you did, leave a like and comment your five year blogging goal. If you really enjoyed my post, then check out some of Sophie’s, you’re bound to love them!
Thank you for reading, I will see you all tomorrow at 8pm for my normal scheduled post. Make sure you follow me so you don’t miss out on my interview segment.
Such a huge thank you to Sophie again for kick starting this series and for taking her time to answer my questions.
